Cacela Velha – Wild Ria

This tour starts in the beautiful Cacela Velha and it takes participants along Ria Formosa shores to Manta Rota.

During this walking experience you’ll be able to watch several types of birds which come to Ria Formosa to breed, look for shelter, to rest from the migration routes or even to live.

Reaching the end of Ria Formosa, the route continues next to the sea through the white sand in the amazing Manta Rota beach. This is the perfect spot to cooldown and go for a swim.

We come back through a path that will allow you to see the best views from Ria Formosa and also the sea. Surrounded by a dune vegetation you’ll be able to enjoy the flora and fauna of the Ria Formosa Natural Park in the best possible way, see an old Noria used as a water lifting device and finish your journey next to a typical Mediterranean garden.
